The Davey Tree Expert Company – Corporate Headquarters Renovation and Addition

The Ruhlin Company was hired by The Davey Tree Expert Company as the Construction Manager at Risk for their corporate headquarters expansion and renovation project. The project consists of two phases, the first will increase parking by approximately 200 spaces and the construction of a new 38,400 SF plus 14,000 SF basement 3rd wing addition. The second phase is a renovation of the current 32,000 SF headquarters. Throughout the expansion and renovation phases the corporate facility will maintain current business operations. The project included a variety of sustainable and environmentally friendly design features. Although the project will not be submitted for LEED certification, the projects energy and water conservation, healthy atmosphere and environmental stewardship is of utmost importance.

Ruhlin self-performed the following services: mass excavation, basement excavation, dewatering, excavation shoring (soldier pile and lag wall), site grading, water line installation and tie ins, storm sewer installation, and all site concrete work (curb, sidewalks, dumpster pads, concrete driveway patch, etc.)
