The Green Health & Wellness Center is a 96,000 SF building that combines a conventional fitness center with diagnostic imaging, physical therapy and emergency care facilities. The integration of these facilities provides convenient access for both emergent care and wellness services in a centralized location for southern Summit County residents.
Members of the fitness center have access to cardio and circuit-training machines, free weights, a rock climbing wall, an elevated running track, two aerobics rooms, a gymnasium and an aquatics area. The aquatics area consists of a competition pool with an electronic timing system, large whirlpool, leisure pool and therapy pool, exclusively for physical therapy patients. Before and after their workouts, members utilize country club-style locker rooms that feature both saunas and steam rooms.
The new 24-hour emergency department is capable of handling non-trauma medical emergencies for both adults and children. The emergency department has 13 individual treatment rooms surrounding a central nurses’ station, which is located adjacent to the diagnostics area with imaging equipment, including X-Ray, MRI and CT machines.
