Tallmadge Middle School

The Middle School will house 538 students in grades 6-8 and is 78,000 SF. The building includes a technology lab, team/presentation studios, art/music areas, competition gymnasium, collaboration stair, media center and dining with a full service prep kitchen. The highly flexible learning environments are connected with overhead doors and operable partitions, which facilitate frequent redefinition of the teaching space.

The design is based on a 21st century learning environment with a modern exterior made up of brick, metal panels and corrugated metal panels.

The project also included the demolition of existing school buildings to provide space for new construction.
