Crews install HVAC system parts as part of 1969 Courthouse renovation

MEDINA — Construction crews worked through the rain Tuesday morning as a crane was used to install HVAC system parts on the 1969 Courthouse roof.
North Broadway Street’s northbound lane was closed for several hours on Tuesday for the ongoing work associated with the renovation of the 1969 Courthouse for the Medina Municipal Court’s use.
The city is leasing the 1969 Courthouse from Medina County officials, following more than a year of discussion regarding the potential use of the space. The approved lease gives the city the exclusive use of 28,222 square feet of the 1969 Courthouse, excluding the space used by the Medina County Law Library.
