The Ohio Division of Wildlife announced The Ruhlin Company is the contractor hired to do the Shreve Lake Dam project. The Ruhlin Company has been in business since 1915 and is based out of Sharon Center in Medina County.

“We finally got the notice to proceed, and they should have surveyors out later this week,” said Scott Angelo, the Ohio Division of Wildlife District Three manager. “They’ve done several projects with us in the past, including work on the dam here on North Reservoir (Portage Lakes) where our office is.”

Angelo said an onsite walkthrough will be scheduled soon, and that the contract calls for the project to be “substantially completed” by September 2024.
