Broadway Street Parking Deck & Pedestrian Bridge

The City of Akron contracted with The Ruhlin Company for Construction Management Services for the new 700 car South Broadway Parking Deck and Mill Street Pedestrian Bridge. The deck and bridge serve the John S. Knight Convention Center.

Due to the location of the deck and bridge being in downtown Akron, the construction site was very tight. Therefore, the Ruhlin team drew upon our experiences with other large public projects. The Ruhlin Company was instrumental in providing cost saving alternatives for foundation design, masonry embedded precast concrete panels and innovative winter protection enclosures. Throughout the duration of this high profile public project, the entire Ruhlin team was committed to providing maximum services with savings in both time and money to meet the needs of the City of Akron.
