Lorain’s Bascule Bridge machinery receives replacement

Crews are installing the equipment that lifts and lowers the Lorain’s Charles Berry Bascule Bridge decks.
The major rehabilitation of the landmark over the Black River is inching closer to completion.
The $26.3 million job is overseen by the Ohio Department of Transportation and being completed by The Ruhlin Company of Sharon Center.
